I viewed a cartoon of hers on the page linked above, and I was absolutely amazed by the honestness of her arts. Later I saw on Wikipedia that she is a famous and appraised artist-cartoonist already, and I was happy to see that.

Cos: it's great when original people get acknowledged for their doings. I find that especially in "creative" jobs one nowadays often can't rid oneself of the idea, that authetic creativity doesn't play a major role when fame enters the scene, or otherwise that the sense of creativity is a per-verse (meaning: going the "wrong" way round) one.

NICE Stuff

Somebody told me (being myself perhaps outdated) about her favourite band, and I want to recommend that following song and video to anybody else who didn't come across this band so far.

The message of that song is critical and it's maybe the criticalness that brings across an empowering aspect.

I wanted to write something about my "likes" and "dislikes" on this blog for quite a while now, but I simply haven't come across anything that would have fitted either category. But maybe if I try to think hard I can come up with something that - although not fitting my two categories here - feels to me like 'hey I should really mention this to anybody who stumbles across this entry.

By picking the theme of the entry I might EVEN make somebody stumble across it (possibly). So what could that be????

a poet who fits unter "right now" and "poets I want to mention" would be Georg Heym , one of my favourite poems happens to be by him and it starts, I believe, with: 'Und so mancher der lässt sich in seinem Elend versinken' - And someone let's herself sink into her misery...

ok these both thing seem to be contraries, I could maybe put something in the middle of both or add a third other "contrary" ...

Simian - Never Be Alone

The band ( http://www.wearesimian.com/ / now simian mobile disco ) doesn't exist anymore in its original formation with Simon William Lord ( now http://www.intothegarden.co.uk/ ) as singer. A remix of 'Never be Alone' by the french band Justice was an enourmous hit in France in 2007 I think. That remix was called "We are your Friends" - which is, also, the name of 2nd Simian album. I like the original version of "Never be Alone" by the Simians better than the remix by Justice. The original Simians video shows the band in front of a crowd in a pub, there are some exotic dancers and a lady behind the bar. The audience, mostly skinsheads, start to beat each other up.... ( The video of the remix shows druggies while they are waking up .... you can check it out on youtube )



The Simian album "We are your friends" which entails "Never be Alone" was produced by Brian Eno.

What the grids?

I was just reading something about YAML with php [ http://www.phpaddiction.com/tags/axial/php-application-configuration-with-yaml/ ], the human-readable data serialization format 'that takes concepts from languages such as XML, C, Python, Perl, ... ', however goolging the term I ran across http://www.yaml.de/ which uses the abbreviation for their layout generator that calls itself "Yet Another Multicolumn Layout".
Not that anybody needs to confuse weblanguage
